At the heart of ConsoleWorks is its ability to monitor everything that goes on within your critical infrastructure devices. And whereas most monitoring solutions are limited to specific types of devices, such as routers and servers, ConsoleWorks has the ability to monitor any device that produces a readable text stream. Some examples of devices that ConsoleWorks can easily interface include:

  • Traditional Servers
  • Storage systems
  • Routers and other network gear
  • Application logs
  • Power distribution systems
  • Uninterrupted power supplies
  • Computer room air conditioners
  • Transducers on manufacturing lines
  • Building security systems.

Monitoring and management of these assets is enabled via any network data streams, including serial, IP network SSH/SSL, Syslog, Telnet, IPMI, and the WMI-CIM performance repository. This flexibility in communication methods allows ConsoleWorks to do more than simple up-time testing.

Beyond Basic Monitoring
ConsoleWorks “listens” throughout your infrastructure via “events”. Even the most chatty of systems can be actively monitored and managed. In fact, ConsoleWorks can listen to thousands of events per second per GHz of CPU speed. ConsoleWorks then secures these events by digitally signing each event and consolidating and then securely storing them. This logging of events provides the basis for securing your infrastructure, reducing downtime, enhancing productivity, and increase system availability, while helping you meet many of your regulatory compliance needs.
